The appearance of sodium ni-trate is white (or light gray, light yellow) crystals. Molecular formula NaNO3, molecular weight 84.99, specific gravity 2.257, melting point 308ºC. Soluble in water and liquid am-monia, soluble in ethanol, me-thanol, slightly soluble in glycerol and ace-tone. It is an oxidizing agent that burns and explodes in contact with organic matter and sulfur. Heating to 380 ° C begins to decompose into sodium ni-trite and oxygen.

Application

This product is widely used in fertilizer, gunpowder, glass, metallurgy, pigment, fireworks and other industries. Raw materials for the manufacture of potassium ni-trate, mine explosives, picric-acid, dyes, etc. Nitrating agent for making dye intermediates. Glass industry used as defoamer, decolorizing agent, clarifying agent and oxidation flux. It can also be used for anti-corrosion, chemical reagents, medicine and metal heat treatment.

Packaging

 

1. Packing in net 25KG/50KG plastic woven bag with PE liner.

2. Stored in a ventilated, dry warehouse. It should be protected from rain, moisture and direct sunlight. Should avoid with acid, metal powder, wood chips, gauze, paper, sulfur and other organic combustible, reducing substances co-transport, co-storage.
